Job summary

ATS Houston in Conroe, TX is seeking a hands-on Engineering Technician to support building access, fall protection, and lightning protection projects on commercial and industrial facilities. This field role involves inspections, testing, installations, repairs, and retrofits, often outdoors and at heights.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, are comfortable using common hand and power tools, and can work safely with a team. Travel across the Houston area is required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Hands-on experience with common hand and power tools.

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of fall protection and building access equipment.
• Perform field testing and load testing of roof anchors and davit systems.
• Assist with installation, repair, and retrofit projects in the field.
• Use hand and power tools for equipment installation.
• Document field conditions and maintain accurate notes.
• Travel to project sites across the Houston area as needed.
