Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) Houston in Conroe, TX, is seeking an Engineering Technician to support building access, fall protection, and lightning protection groups. This hands-on field role involves inspections, testing, installations, repairs, and retrofits on commercial buildings and industrial facilities.

You will work with Project Managers, Engineers, and field personnel, using hand and power tools, climbing roofs, and performing load testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience using common hand and power tools.
• Able to work with Project Managers, Engineers, and field staff.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of fall protection and building access equipment.
• Perform field testing and load testing of roof anchors and davit systems.
• Assist with installation, repair, and retrofit projects.
• Use hand and power tools for installation tasks.
• Travel to project sites in the Houston area and beyond.
