Job summary

Christie Lites is seeking a Rental Representative / Technical Business Development Manager to build trusted client relationships and drive revenue in the entertainment lighting industry. You will own a portfolio, influence equipment specifications, and partner across project management and operations to ensure flawless show execution.

You will travel to client sites, lead strategy with the VP of Rentals, and develop annual growth plans while sourcing opportunities and expanding existing business

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in stage lighting, production, related entertainment/event industry sales or relationship-based B2B sales.
• Demonstrated success sourcing your own leads, developing new business opportunities, and building long-term client relationships.
• Strong technical understanding of lighting equipment, or demonstrated ability to learn quickly.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including evenings and weekends to client sites and events.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic client relationships through in-person meetings, site visits and regular follow-ups.
• Influence product specifications by understanding Christie Lites' rental gear with designers and decision-makers.
• Develop annual relationship and revenue growth plans with the VP of Rentals.
• Monitor portfolio performance, review reports, resolve concerns, and identify expansion opportunities.
• Partner with Project Management to ensure accurate quotations, reservations, orders, and smooth booking-to-invoicing.
• Champion Official Rental Product Line and One Contact–One Rep model; work with PM and Ops for flawless service.
• Work independently while collaborating with VP of Rentals, National Rentals Manager, PM and Ops to deliver excellent service.
