Colonial Electric Company is seeking a Lighting Showroom Sales Associate to drive design consultations with walk-in clients and trade professionals in a fast-paced showroom in Rehoboth Beach, DE.

You will manage the sales process from initial contact to closing, learn complex lighting concepts, and keep the showroom energized with appointment management and order tracking. This full-time role offers base compensation plus commission, with opportunities to grow into a high-volume sales track.

Qualifications

• Results-oriented drive to exceed sales targets and earn lucrative commission within 6-8 months.
• Excellent customer-facing communication with the ability to navigate objections and secure client buy-in.
• Multitask calmly under pressure, create precise technical specification sheets, and follow up with clients.
• Eager to master self-study modules to cross-sell products (lighting systems, LED layouts, etc.).
• High school diploma required; prior retail/sales experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Close and capitalize by providing design consultation to walk-in clients and trade professionals.
• Manage clients through the entire sales process.
• Learn and pitch complex smart home integration, architectural lighting layouts, automated shading, and landscape lighting.
• Maintain a high-energy showroom presence, manage client appointments, and handle order tracking.
