Lighting Sales Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the specification-driven sales function, shaping go-to-market strategies, mentoring a team of sales professionals, and serving as a key client relationship builder in a rapidly evolving marketplace. This role is ideal for a driven leader with deep experience in lighting or building materials who thrives on collaboration, growth, and long-term client partnerships.

This Role Offers:

Focus:

  • Direct and empower a team of sales professionals focused on lighting specifications. Set performance goals, provide guidance, and monitor KPIs to ensure top-tier outcomes.
  • Craft and execute sales strategies aimed at growing market share in target verticals, with a focus on architect and designer engagement.
  • Develop and nurture lasting relationships with key decision-makers including specifiers, engineers, and general contractors. Serve as a trusted advisor for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of competitive and market trends. Identify areas for expansion and recommend strategies to address evolving customer needs.
  • Partner closely with marketing, project management, and product teams to ensure seamless customer experience and unified brand messaging.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to generate actionable insights. Prepare regular reports for senior leadership with updates on revenue, forecast, and growth opportunities.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and professional development efforts to enhance the effectiveness and capabilities of the sales team.

Skill Set:

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in commercial lighting, construction materials, or architectural products.
  • Proven track record with 2+ years leading teams or driving strategic sales initiatives within specification-focused or project-based environments.
  • Strong understanding of the specification sales process and working knowledge of the construction cycle.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop team talent and inspire high performance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and reporting dashboards a plus.
