Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop. You’ll inspect, service, repair, test, and replace components, including electrical systems and wiring harnesses.

Through the Army National Guard program you’ll earn a regular paycheck while training and qualify for tuition assistance. Expect Basic Training followed by Advanced Individual Training and a pathway to civilian auto-care careers.

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles and trailers.
