Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop. You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace components, and contribute to recovery operations and electrical system servicing.

Through training, you’ll gain skills for civilian careers in service stations and auto dealers while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers, and material handling equipment
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems
