Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and shop. You’ll inspect, service, maintain, repair and test systems and components, including electrical wiring and charging systems.

Expect training and development with a civilian career path in service stations, auto dealers, or state highway agencies. Paid training, a monthly paycheck, and tuition assistance are offered as part of the benefits

Qualifications

• Interest in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems.
• Interest in automotive engines and how they work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain wheeled vehicles, associated trailers and material handling equipment.
• Service automotive electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems.
