Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to ensure wheeled equipment is ready for operation. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop.

You will inspect, service, repair, test, and replace systems and components, including electrical wiring and charging systems, while developing skills for civilian careers in service stations and auto dealers. Training is provided with paid benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard (US).
• Must be at least a junior in high school or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35 and ability to pass a physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in field and shop.
• Inspect, service, repair, test and replace components and electrical systems including wiring harnesses and charging systems.
