Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to maintain wheeled vehicles in the field and shop. You will supervise and perform maintenance, testing, and recovery operations to keep military vehicles ready for deployment.

You'll gain hands-on training, earn a regular paycheck, and qualify for tuition assistance and other education benefits while serving part-time or full-time with the Army National Guard.

Qualifications

• Must be military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust and replace wheeled vehicle systems and components.
• Perform recovery operations and service electrical systems, including wiring harness and charging systems.
• Maintain wheeled vehicles, trailers, and material handling equipment.
