Job summary

DC Army National Guard in the United States seeks a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to supervise and perform maintenance and recovery on wheeled vehicles in the field and in the shop.

You will inspect, service, repair, test and replace components, and work on electrical systems, including wiring harnesses. This role includes learning through hands-on training while earning a regular paycheck.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for Army National Guard enlistment.
• Between ages 17 and 35.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, repair, test, and replace components on wheeled vehicles and trailers.
• Perform recovery operations and maintain electrical systems including wiring harnesses and charging systems.
