Job summary

Dodge Ridge Ski Resort in Pinecrest, CA, is seeking a Lift Operations Supervisor. The role oversees lift stations, trains operators, and ensures safety and guest service in all weather conditions.

The position requires lift operations experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work long hours with physically demanding tasks on the mountain. You must be able to manage crews, coordinate with maintenance, and handle state inspections when needed.

• Lift operations experience.
• Advanced skiing or snowboarding ability required.
• Supervisory skills: Experience in supervising a large number of employees.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to read and to write legibly and to use good composition skills to complete records and report forms.

• Must be aware of the ski area’s terrain and facilities.
• Possess the ability to safely ski/board within the designated routes.
• Ability to learn and be knowledgeable of the needs of the equipment and standard procedures for its care and safe operation.
• Safe operation of a snowmobile in a variety of terrain and snow conditions.
• Must be well groomed and present a good public image.
• Good physical condition as this position requires skiing/boarding, hiking, shoveling, lifting and carrying. Heavy and awkward lifting of 50lbs.
• Willingness to work during extreme weather conditions.
• Safety and risk oriented.
• Requires the skills of a host.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet the MVR qualifications as outlined in the Fleet Safety Program.

Responsibilities

• Duties include planning and scheduling work, setting goals and objectives, and developing action plans.
• Overseeing all lift stations and ensuring safe operation.
• Training lift operators and coordinating with maintenance.
• Preparing for inspections and interviews from state agencies and insurers.
• Enforcing safety rules and maintaining clean, safe workstations.
• Providing timely information on weather and slope conditions to guests and staff.
• Communicating with other departments and managing guest inquiries professionally.
