Job summary

Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort seeks a dedicated Ski Patroller to join its mountain safety team in Pinecrest, CA. The role focuses on guest service, emergency response, and on-mountain safety, while also serving as an information hub for visitors.

Patrollers lead by example, maintain training records, and ensure compliance with safety plans and NSP guidelines. A strong candidate will be physically fit, team-oriented, and prepared to work outdoors in variable winter conditions.

Qualifications

• Effective and efficient leadership skills.
• Ability to read and to write legibly and to use good composition skills to complete records and report forms.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Must be aware of the ski areas terrain and facilities.
• EMT or OEC AND CPR/First Aid/AED
• Advanced skiing or boarding ability. The ability to safely and skillfully ski/board and transport a guest in a toboggan down expert terrain in an expeditious manner.
• Ability to learn and be knowledgeable of the needs of the equipment and standard procedures for its care and safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example.
• Coordinate and document training and proficiency of all patrollers
• Record keeping and documentation.
• Promote teamwork, trust and respect.
• Operate within budget guidelines.
• Plan and schedule work accordingly during operating hours.
• Direct lift evacuations with the coordination of the patrol director and patrol manager.
• Maintain clean, safe, and professional workstations.
• Assist with Search and Rescue and provide necessary documentation.
