Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to help oversee state-of-the-art pools, indoors and out. You will monitor the deck, enforce safety, greet members and assist with aquatics events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

Requirements include working towards a High School Diploma or GED, StarGuard Elite Lifeguard/BLS CPR/First Aid certifications, ability to swim 300 yards, tread water for one minute, swim with a 10 lb diving brick, and lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members
