Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old at time of application.
• Strong swimming ability and endurance for rescues and safety.
• Ability to stay alert for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Comfort around water for extended periods.
• Ability to pass Lifeguard Certification within 30 days (provided).

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to ensure swimmer safety.
• Enforce rules with a welcoming attitude.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies quickly and effectively.
• Assist swimmers in distress and provide aid when needed.
• Conduct safety checks of pool, equipment and surroundings.
• Maintain incident and maintenance records.
• Provide positive customer service to members and guests.
• Support aquatic programs and events as needed.
