Job summary

The YMCA is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the safety of members and guests in the pool area. Responsibilities include monitoring swimmers, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies with trained resuscitation techniques.

Qualifications include current lifeguard, CPR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with physical readiness to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Lifeguard certification or willingness to acquire within 60 days.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool activity to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures for all users.
• Perform water rescues and provide life-saving care as needed.
• Inspect safety equipment and pool area for hazards; report issues.
• Coordinate with staff for drills, training, and maintenance tasks.
