YMCA of Greater Boston is hiring a Lifeguard for the Needham area (Charles River YMCA). The part-time position requires guarding the pool, enforcing rules, and following branch emergency protocols. Training emphasizes CPR, First Aid, and oxygen delivery as needed.

Responsibilities include performing rescues, assisting with safety drills, and maintaining a clean, safe pool environment. Shifts may vary, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Able to perform CPR, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen as needed.
• Able to scan the pool visually and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and enforce rules to ensure patron safety.
• Respond to emergencies and use EAP when required.
• Complete incident reports promptly and maintain pool hygiene.
