Job summary

SafeSplash + SwimLabs Waukee is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure patron safety, monitor the pool area, and respond to emergencies according to Red Cross standards.

You will help maintain a clean, safe facility and support a welcoming environment for swimmers, with a flexible schedule and opportunities to advance within the company. Training and development are encouraged while you contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification and Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer.
• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred.
• Must be able to complete lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area and act immediately to secure safety in an emergency.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival.
• Perform duties to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Ensure pool area is supervised according to American Red Cross standards.

What will you do as a Lifeguard?

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the pool area; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of customers in the event of an emergency
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Perform various duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility
• Make sure the pool area is always properly supervised and attended in accordance to American Red Cross standards

What are we looking for in a Lifeguard?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is preferred
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
