Job summary

REACH Services in Hacienda Heights, CA is seeking a part-time support specialist to provide direct educational, vocational, and living skills training for individuals with disabilities. Under supervision, you will implement objectives and assist with daily living tasks.

The role requires ability to lift 50–80 pounds, a valid CA driver's license, CPR/First Aid training (provided by REACH), and a commitment to safety. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Interest in and willingness to learn issues related to training and vocational needs of individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to lift 50–80 pounds and work independently with minimal supervision.
• CPR and First Aid training/certification is provided by REACH.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing vocational, independent and interdependent living skills objectives as per the participant's plan.
• Provide direct support for daily living activities including feeding, grooming, attire, and personal hygiene.
• Publish progress notes and participate in staff trainings and safety programs.
• Transport participants to vocational, medical, and training activities as needed.
• Record time worked and maintain safety and communications per REACH policies.
