Job summary

REACH Services in Fullerton, CA is seeking a part-time Training and Support Specialist to assist in direct educational, vocational, and living skills training for individuals with disabilities. You will implement objectives, help participants with daily routines, and contribute to progress notes and program improvements.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred), valid California driver's license, ability to lift 50-80 pounds, and completion of CPR/First Aid training provided by

Qualifications

• An interest in and willingness to learn and understand issues related to training and vocational needs of individuals with disabilities and adaptive needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of vocational, independent and interdependent living skills objectives as set out in the participant's individual support plan.
• Be knowledgeable regarding participant needs and backgrounds.
• Participate in meetings to provide direct assistance in developing Living Skills and/or Vocational objectives.
• Foster healthful habits and wellbeing through daily routines including feeding, bathing, attire, grooming, hygiene and restroom needs.
• Assist in daily maintenance and publishing of progress notes.
• Participate in trainings and implement new techniques and practices.
• Support informed choices on program schedules to enrich services.
