Job summary

REACH is seeking Life Skills Coach (Direct Service Professional) in Whittier, CA to support individuals with disabilities in developing daily living and vocational skills. This in-person role involves guiding independence, implementing plans, and documenting progress with a focus on safety and wellbeing.

The position requires 18+, CA driver’s license, ability to lift 50-80 pounds, and CPR/First Aid certification provided by REACH. Flexible shifts and a team-based environment are offered.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED is preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid CA driver's license and auto insurance.
• Ability to lift 50-80 pounds and work with individuals with disabilities.
• CPR and First Aid training provided by REACH.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing vocational and living skills objectives per individual plans.
• Participate in meetings to support goals and daily activities.
• Provide group and individual instruction to execute the plans.
• Transport participants to activities and appointments as needed.
• Maintain progress notes and participate in safety trainings and updates.
