Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Life Sharing Host Families across Pennsylvania to provide a safe, stable home for individuals with I/DD. Hosts will form long-term, family-like relationships, integrating the person into daily life and community activities.

As a Host Family, you’ll work with Abound Health on person-centered plans, receive a daily stipend, and participate in ongoing training, with 24/7 support and case management available as needed.

Qualifications

• Be Pennsylvania residents (all counties welcome).
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass required background checks (FBI, child abuse, criminal).
• Complete home inspections and meet safety standards.
• Provide personal and professional references.
• Participate in interviews and a matching assessment.
• Be willing to include the individual in meals, routines, activities, and family life.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home.
• Support daily living skills and household routines.
• Offer mentorship, companionship, and emotional support.
• Encourage community involvement and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with Abound Health to follow person-centered plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, and personal growth.
