Job summary

Abound Health is seeking caring individuals or families in Chester County, PA to join its Life Sharing Program as Host Families. You would welcome an individual with I/DD into your home, providing a stable, family-like environment and daily routines.

This is a contract position with ongoing training and 24/7 support. You will be matched based on compatibility and shared interests, fostering belonging and meaningful daily experiences.

Qualifications

• Be Pennsylvania residents (all counties welcome).
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Pass required background checks (FBI, child abuse, criminal).
• Complete home inspections and meet safety standards.
• Provide personal and professional references.
• Participate in interviews and a matching assessment.
• Be willing to include the individual in meals, routines, activities, and family life.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, stable, and welcoming home.
• Support daily living skills and household routines.
• Offer mentorship, companionship, and emotional support.
• Encourage community involvement and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with Abound Health to follow person-centered plans.
• Promote independence, dignity, and personal growth.
