Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Salesforce Life Sciences Functional Architect in the United States to lead end‑to‑end functional design for a Life Sciences workstream. You will run requirements and design sessions, translate business processes into platform solutions, and guide a team of analysts and configurators toward delivery.

You will collaborate with client business owners and product owners, balancing domain expertise with architecture direction.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Salesforce experience in a functional design, business analysis or solution consulting capacity.
Minimum 3 years of experience delivering Salesforce solutions for Life Sciences clients or another regulated industry.
Minimum 1 year of experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Patient services experience.
Minimum 1 year of Salesforce Life Sciences experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience.

Responsibilities

Own the functional solution design for an assigned workstream or capability area within a Salesforce Life Sciences program.
Lead design workshops with client business and product owners, translating outcomes into user stories and functional specs.
Configure and demonstrate Salesforce Life Sciences capabilities, building prototypes and walkthroughs with stakeholders.
Make day‑to‑day design decisions within your domain and elevate cross‑workstream decisions to the lead architect.
Partner with technical leads and developers to ensure designs are buildable and support estimation and sprint planning.
Guide and review the work of functional analysts, configurators and offshore team members.
Contribute to architecture governance and design reviews and apply standards consistently.
Support testing, data migration, training and deployment activities for your workstream and drive user adoption post go‑live.
Contribute to proposals, demonstrations and estimates during pursuits and build reusable assets for the Life Sciences practice.
Identify and raise design risks and work with leadership on mitigation.
Travel may be required (25% to 100%).
