Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Life Sciences manufacturing transformations across pharmaceutical, biotech and medical-device clients. You will connect plant operations with enterprise systems, directing cross-functional teams in design, automation, data, and AI solutions within regulated environments.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and client relationships, with work spanning MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS and data analytics. Travel up to 80-100% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, information systems or business.
• 10+ years of Life Sciences manufacturing, manufacturing tech, or related experience.
• Experience leading complex manufacturing transformations in regulated environments.
• Experience delivering client-facing programs with governance, resources, quality, budget and risk.
• Experience leading senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience translating manufacturing requirements into process, data, and integration requirements.
• Understanding of GxP, data integrity, change control and risk-based assurance.
• Ability to travel as needed (80-100%).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Life Sciences manufacturing transformations from assessment to value realization.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders and establish governance.
• Translate priorities into practical workplans and outcome measures.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across design, automation, data engineering, and QA.
• Lead design for batch and discrete execution, eDHRs, recipes, routings, genealogy.
• Guide integration across MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS and OT systems.
• Establish data foundations with models, metadata, lineage and governance.
• Shape analytics and AI use cases, assess value, data readiness and risks.
• Partner with quality and validation teams to ensure GxP controls and data integrity.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and risks; oversee testing and handover.
• Connect digital solutions to daily management and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accountability and alignment across distributed teams.
• Develop managers and delivery teams and capture reusable methods.
