Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Manager in Supply Chain Manufacturing to lead transformation programs for pharma, biotech, and medical-device manufacturers. You will connect plant operations with enterprise systems, drive data-enabled solutions, and ensure governance and risk management across complex teams.

Role requires deep Life Sciences process knowledge, techno-functional leadership, and ability to travel heavily to deliver measurable value in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, life sciences, manufacturing, supply chain, information systems, business, or related discipline.
• No less than 10+ years of relevant experience spanning Life Sciences manufacturing, manufacturing technology, operational excellence, industrial data and AI, technology consulting, or related field.
• Experience leading complex manufacturing transformation or technology-enabled improvement initiatives in regulated environments (pharma/biotech/medical devices).
• Experience delivering client-facing programs through design, implementation, deployment, stabilization, with governance, resources, quality, financial performance, and risk.
• Experience leading senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams across business, functional, data, and technology workstreams.
• Experience translating manufacturing requirements into process, system, data, integration, security, and technical requirements with traceability through testing and deployment.
• Practical understanding of GxP manufacturing and related data integrity, change-control, and documentation considerations.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed; travel ranges 80–100%.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Life Sciences manufacturing transformations from assessment to value realization.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, MS&T, engineering, supply chain, digital, and IT/OT.
• Translate priorities like yield, throughput, first-time-right execution, and supply continuity into practical workplans.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across design, MES/MOM, automation, data, AI, and integration.
• Lead design for batch and discrete execution, eDHRs, recipes, genealogies, and quality workflows.
• Guide integration across MES/MOM, ERP, LIMS, QMS, historians, SCADA, DCS/PLC, and cloud/edge platforms.
• Establish data foundations with master data, metadata, lineage, governance, and secure IT/OT connectivity.
• Shape analytics and AI use cases; assess data readiness, workflow fit, risks before scaling.
• Partner with quality and validation teams to incorporate GxP controls and data integrity into delivery plans.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, staffing, risks, and contractual commitments; oversee testing and handover.
• Connect digital solutions to daily management, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
• Cultivate leadership, coaching, and building teams with the right mix of skills.
