The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) seeks a Legal Intern to support research-related legal and compliance work in a mission-driven environment in Indianapolis. The program runs May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, with a 35-hour workweek and a total stipend of $9,650, disbursed bi-weekly.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Indiana graduate-level program.
Degree in pre-law, legal studies, public policy, biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or a related field, or a law student with life sciences interest.
Interest in law as it relates to biomedical research, healthcare, or regulated scientific environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize information clearly.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Support basic legal and regulatory research and summarize findings.
Organize and track research-related agreements (NDAs, collaboration agreements).
Assist with compliance documentation, records, and internal reviews.
