Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Senior Manager to oversee all building operations and maintenance for a premier Life Sciences R&D campus in Cambridge, MA. You will manage HVAC, mechanical and electrical systems, lead a team, and ensure client satisfaction within a highly collaborative research environment.

The role focuses on hard and soft services, budget oversight, and capital project execution while upholding CBRE RISE values and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees. Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentor. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
• Coordinate and develop the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
• Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
• Prepare and run large and high-profile capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
• Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
• Create environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
• Develop vendor relationships and coordinate invoicing procedures. Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
• Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
• Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job.
