Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead on-site life science construction projects in New Jersey. You will oversee all on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors and consultants, and ensure work is delivered on time, within budget, and to project specifications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a similar role, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry.
• Experience in life science or other technical projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities for life science projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of all on-site personnel, including subcontractors and consultants, to ensure high-quality work and adherence to project plans.
• Implement and maintain strict quality control procedures, identifying any issues or discrepancies and taking corrective action as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and team members, to ensure clear understanding of project status and any potential issues or delays.
• Provide strong leadership to the project team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and practices, maintaining a safe and secure work environment at all times.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, providing detailed reports and updates to project management.
• Solve any on-site problems or conflicts, using strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Continually assess and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
