Job summary

Hylton-Rodic Law in Washington, DC is seeking a resourceful business development professional to translate leadership priorities into concrete initiatives. This full-time, in-person role focuses on executing BD initiatives, managing projects from direction through completion, and strengthening client relationships, with opportunities to coordinate conferences and events.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in business development, professional services, client relations, account management, or related field.
• End-to-end project ownership with planning, coordinating contributors, managing timelines and dependencies, and delivering completed work.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to balance multiple initiatives and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including polished correspondence with senior stakeholders.
• Strong research and analytical skills with the resourcefulness to investigate unfamiliar subjects.
• Experience supporting professional relationships, including client engagement, prospect outreach, or stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with CRM systems, contact management, pipeline tracking, and business development reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, project-management tools, and appropriate use of AI to improve efficiency and quality.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute business development initiatives, translating leadership priorities into project plans and deliverables.
• Own projects from direction through completion, managing resources and dependencies.
• Research growth opportunities, present practical recommendations to leadership.
• Support client and prospect relationships with coordinated outreach and engagement.
• Manage CRM systems, pipeline tracking, segmentation, and reporting.
• Coordinate conferences, webinars, events, and post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate proposals and RFPs, tracking requirements and submitting for leadership review.
• Develop professional communications, including outreach, briefs, presentations, and talking points.
• Collaborate with Marketing to translate priorities into newsletters, thought leadership, and campaigns.
• Maintain proactive project oversight and ensure initiatives are completed.
