Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking a Senior Manager in Technical Accounting (Life Science) to lead external SEC reporting, oversee accounting policy work, and mentor teams. This role sits in Boston with hybrid/remote flexibility within the U.S. market.

You will coordinate with clients and auditors, ensure GAAP compliance, and monitor board activities while developing and expanding client relationships and opportunities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or related fields.
• Experience with SEC reporting (Regulation S-X and S-K) and preparation of financial statements for public companies.
• Life Science industry experience is highly desirable.
• Experience leading teams and multiple projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Active CPA, CA or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Experience with SEC reporting, Workiva (WDesk) or similar tools.
• Experience with general ledger systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare external SEC financial statements and filing processes.
• Oversee technical accounting research and documentation of new guidance.
• Monitor accounting standard bodies (FASB, IASB, SEC, PCAOB) and assess effects of new standards.
• Research accounting and disclosure requirements for new standards and transactions.
• Collaborate with clients and external auditors to gather inputs and prepare disclosures.
• Provide training and mentoring on public company reporting.
• Organize and communicate project status.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities for the firm.
