Job summary

Live On Nebraska is seeking a Tissue Recovery Coordinator to join the Tissue Services team. The role involves post-mortem tissue recovery, documentation, and coordinating the recovery process, with on-site work within 45 minutes of Omaha.

The position includes an on-call schedule, night and weekend shifts as training progresses. Requirements include an anatomy-focused associate degree (or four years of equivalent training), CTBS certification, and ability to travel by vehicle.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree focused on anatomy or health sciences or nursing preferred, or four years equivalent training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CTBS certification.
• Excellent communication with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, facilitate, and perform surgical recovery of tissues.
• Gather and assess patient medical records and donor risk to determine suitability.
• Complete the donor electronic record accurately.
• Oversee cases including charting, delegation of duties, and communication with partners.
• Provide ethical and sensitive treatment to each donor.
