County Emergency Communications in Eagle, WI seeks Emergency Medical Dispatchers to coordinate urgent EMS responses and manage medical dispatch protocols. You will handle calls, verify locations, and determine response priorities using approved protocols.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), Emergency Medical Dispatcher certification, and CPR certification. Some roles may require sponsored training and ongoing education; shifts can include nights and overtime.

Qualifications

• Receive calls involving illness, injury, and other medical emergencies.
• Confirm the patient’s location, callback number, and access details.
• Ask approved questions about the patient’s condition.
• Determine response priority through the authorized medical dispatch system.
• Dispatch or coordinate ambulance resources when included in the assignment.
• Provide protocol-based instructions within current qualifications.
• Relay patient information and scene hazards to responding personnel.
• Document call processing and participate in quality-review activities.
