Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Blood Storage & Distribution Technician for the 3rd shift in the Chicago area. You will receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders, ensuring correct temperature control and traceability.

You’ll communicate with hospital clients and maintain accurate product records as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities include inventory management, data entry, quality checks and potential hospital deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.
• Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing and shipping process.
• Perform data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering and shipping; maintain records.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements and disposition them.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
