Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a detail-oriented technician to manufacture, label and store blood products, while maintaining records and QC checks. You will supervise volunteers on designated shifts and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include data entry, inventory control, and effective communication with internal customers and vendors. On-call work may be required, with a schedule that supports 6pm-2:30am shifts and comprehensive training prior to

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; an Associate degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in a regulatory, laboratory or manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to use lab or medical equipment, and to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Manufacture, label and store blood products according to FDA and Red Cross policies.
  • Operate equipment, perform QC checks and maintain inventories.
  • Enter data into computer systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide training and supervision to volunteers and staff on shift.
  • Identify nonconforming products and participate in investigations.
  • Communicate with internal customers, vendors and volunteers; on-call may be required.
