Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician to receive, process, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders by urgency, select and pack with temperature regulation, and communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors to preserve traceability.

Full details include standard schedule Friday–Sunday 3:30pm–11:30pm, pay $21.43/hr with shift differentials as applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.
• Perform data entry and maintain manufacturing records; review physical and electronic records for traceability.
• Prioritize workload to meet production and customer requirements.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements; disposition of unacceptable product.
