Job summary

The American Red Cross in Chicago is seeking a Blood Storage & Distribution Technician for the 3rd shift to receive, process, pack, and ship blood products for hospital orders, triage by date and time, and ensure safe transport with correctly temperature-regulated packaging.

You will communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors, maintain product records for traceability, and support on‑site team objectives; candidates should have a high school diploma and basic computer skills,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years' experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products and samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time; ensure correct temperature regulated packaging.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors; maintain records for traceability.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
