Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Distribution Technician in South Carolina to receive, pack and ship blood products for hospital orders. You will triage orders, ensure proper temperature control, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities include inventory management, data entry, quality checks, and occasional hospital deliveries. Training on first shift for 4–6 weeks is provided; schedule is 11:00 PM–7:30 AM with rotating weekends and on-call.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience in regulatory, distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Good computer skills, attention to detail, accurate documentation, and good decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, pack and ship blood products/samples for hospital orders.
• Triage orders by date/time needed and ensure correct temperature regulated transport.
• Communicate with hospital clients, volunteers, and vendors; maintain product records for traceability.
• Perform inventory management throughout manufacturing and shipping processes.
• Do data entry for manufacturing, labeling, storage, ordering, and shipping; maintain records.
• Identify and quarantine products/samples not meeting quality requirements; dispose as needed.
• May make hospital deliveries as assigned.
