Job summary
Vallen is seeking a Service Technician II focused on Life Safety Services within the Vallen Safety Services Group. You will install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems such as Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm and Detection Systems, Gas Detection, Foam, and Water Based Systems for established customers.
The role requires ability to read English, perform testing to NFPA standards, and provide on-site technical support.
Qualifications
- High School or GED required.
- Minimum 2 certifications in a fire protection related field.
- WBS Construction 1-3 yrs. exp.
- RME-I (if applicable).
- Mechanically inclined.
- Experience installing/maintaining life safety systems and equipment.
- CDL may be required if carrying hazardous materials.
- Proficient with hand tools.
- Able to complete repairs in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct service calls.
- Test and inspect systems to prescribed standards.
- On-site troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems.
- Install Life Safety Systems.
- Produce accurate technician worksheets and reports.
- Provide customer service related to installation/ITM of Life Safety Systems.
