Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Service Technician I in the Life Safety Services Group to install, inspect, test and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis.

You will perform on-site testing, emergency troubleshooting, and prepare accurate technician worksheets and reports. Strong knowledge of NFPA and OSHA standards is expected; a valid driver's license is required. CDL may be required for hazardous materials transport.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 fire-protection related certification.
• Minimum 1 year related experience.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools.
• Maintain certifications and licenses current; complete ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Install and inspect Life Safety Systems and perform testing to standards.
• On-site emergency troubleshooting and maintenance of Life Safety Systems.
• Prepare accurate Technician Worksheets and reports.
• Provide customer service for installation/ITM of life safety systems.
• Assist warehouse with order fulfillment and maintain safety records.
