Job summary

Farm Bureau Financial Services in West Des Moines, IA, seeks a Life Product Support Analyst II who blends technical and analytical skills with a robust Excel/VBA toolkit to support product implementations, illustration tools and rate books.

You will document requirements, test values, and processes, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate illustrations, while delivering timely, courteous service to internal and external customers and collaborating with actuarial and product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, computer science, finance and five years related industry experience preferred.
• ALMI designation preferred.
• Knowledge of the FAST administration system a plus.
• Knowledge of life insurance illustration systems a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand policy contracts and reinsurance treaties preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems preferred.
• Prioritization and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite preferred, especially VBA/Excel.
• Regular and predictable attendance required.
• Some travel may be required.
• Must work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

• Assist with product implementation on FBL administrative systems.
• Support new business; enforce product implementation on FBL illustration systems; maintain rate books and manuals.
• Document requirements, test values and review processes during implementations.
• Ensure compliance with laws by implementing accurate calculations and illustrations.
• Input system tables, help develop administrative rules and procedures.
• Assist in industry surveys and provide support as needed.
• Develop, coordinate, and oversee values testing and post-release validation for FBL systems.
• Respond to complex customer service requests per policies with professionalism.
