Job summary

AmeriLife is hiring an Underwriting Assistant in Indiana to support medical and loan underwriting teams, gather requirements, and submit to carriers. You will track exams, update Salesforce Chatter, and ensure timely completion of underwriting tasks.

The role requires life insurance underwriting support experience, strong data entry skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce and SharePoint familiarity is a plus. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Minimum three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow-up efforts.
Monitor each case during underwriting and escalate issues to the Case Manager when needed.
Work with carriers to issue policies and download application kits for review.
Draft informal and formal letters for Case Manager review.
Assist clients with routine policy service requests throughout the year.
Maintain underwriting files and enter case information in Salesforce and Salesforce Chatter.
