Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support medical and loan underwriting teams, gather requirements, and track exams. The role involves communication with internal and external customers, updating Salesforce Chatter, and facilitating timely policy servicing and renewals.

Applicants should have a minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience, proficiency with data entry, and familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience in an agency or carrier environment.
• Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the case manager in completing carrier applications and follow up efforts.
• Monitor each case throughout underwriting and escalate issues when needed.
• Work with carriers to issue policies.
• Download application kits and populate information for Case Manager review.
• Draft informal and formal cover letters for Case Manager review.
• Assist clients with routine policy service requests throughout the year.
• Maintain organized underwriting files and enter case information in Salesforce.
• Provide administrative support to the Case Manager and underwriting team.
