Job summary

AmeriLife is seeking an Underwriting Assistant to support its medical and loan underwriting teams in placing life insurance policies and servicing existing ones. You will track exams and APS requests, update Salesforce Chatter, and coordinate with carriers to issue policies while drafting letters for review.

Candidates should have at least three years of life insurance underwriting support experience, strong data entry skills, and proficiency with Salesforce and SharePoint.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of life insurance underwriting support experience.
• Proficiency with data entry and policy administration applications.
• Experience with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support medical and loan underwriting teams to place life insurance policies.
• Track exams and APS requests and update Salesforce Chatter.
• Complete carrier applications and follow up with carriers and lenders.
• Draft cover letters for Case Manager review.
• Maintain underwriting files and prepare underwriting correspondence.
• Provide administrative support to the Case Manager and underwriting team.
• Assist with policy renewals and annual client summaries.
