Job summary

Kemper Corporation in Mobile, AL is seeking a Life Insurance Sales Manager to recruit, train, and lead a team of agents in the field. You will drive territory growth through hands-on leadership, coach agents, and build local community relationships to expand business opportunities.

You will spend roughly 80% of your time in the field, conducting ride-alongs, mentoring agents, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering strong sales performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in insurance sales or related leadership roles.
• Active Life, Health, Property & Casualty licenses in required states.
• Proven success recruiting, developing, coaching sales professionals.
• Strong leadership, communication, and performance-management skills.
• Willing to spend ~80% of time in the field with agents.
• Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, and auto liability coverage.
• Able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and retain a high-performing team of insurance agents.
• Lead by example through active in-person sales and field ride-alongs.
• Coach agents with real-time training and development.
• Network within the community to recruit talent and generate opportunities.
• Drive territory growth by supporting agents to hit sales goals and expand relationships.
• Monitor agent activity and provide performance feedback.
• Conduct field and phone-based business reviews to reinforce compliance and sales practices.
• Demonstrate the use of company technology, sales tools, and processes.
• Partner with the District Manager to improve territory performance.
