Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a dedicated dispatcher to coordinate critical patient transfers and flight/ground movements. You will serve as the primary touchpoint for internal and external customers, ensuring timely access to emergency services and resources.

You will support Metro Life Flight operations, dispatching assets and communicating with multi-disciplinary teams to resolve issues and expedite care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Ohio EMT certification.
• Current and valid Ohio Driver’s License and insurability.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• 1 year of dispatching experience for 911/public safety transport.
• Ability to read maps and understand directions; knowledge of Ohio geography.

Responsibilities

• Provide start-to-finish concierge and call management services as the primary touchpoint.
• Dispatch and monitor movement of aircraft and critical care ground units.
• Coordinate communications with a multi-disciplinary and diverse clientele.
• Ensure access to critical services (burn, cardiac, neurology, pediatric, trauma).
• Support EMS and Fire Departments with critical needs.
