Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a dedicated dispatcher to support the Metro Life Flight emergency care team in Cleveland, OH. The role provides start-to-finish concierge and call management services for critical patient calls, coordinating access to burn, cardiac, neurology, pediatric, and trauma services.

The dispatcher serves as a primary contact with internal and external customers, dispatches aircraft and ground units, and ensures safety and timely movement of patients between scenes and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Ohio EMT certification.
• Valid Ohio driver's license.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• 1 year dispatching experience in 911/public safety or EMS.
• Ability to read maps and understand directions.
• Proficient use of CAD and mapping software.
• Strong computer skills and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact with internal and external customers, managing call ownership end-to-end.
• Coordinate start-to-finish call processing and completion for critical patient needs.
• Dispatch and monitor movement of aircraft and critical care ground units.
• Support EMS and Fire Departments with urgent needs and resource access.
• Maintain timely communication and problem resolution across disciplines.
