Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Flight Communications Specialist to support the Life Flight team in Peoria, IL. You will receive calls requesting Life Flight, dispatch crews, and coordinate with OSF Aviation aircraft as flights enter the region.

The role requires strong written and verbal communication, a high school diploma, and minimum 2 years of experience in emergency communications or related fields. This is an on-site, full-time position with OSF HealthCare.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Firefighter, EMT, Medical Communications, 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch, or Flight Communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receives all calls requesting Life Flight and dispatches flight crews according to established procedures.
• Flight follows OSF Aviation aircraft and other medical helicopter flights into the Peoria area.
• Adapts to changing situations while following policy and procedures.
