Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Flight Communications Specialist to join the Life Flight Team. You will receive all calls for Life Flight and dispatch crews accordingly, coordinating with OSF Aviation and other medical helicopters into the Peoria area.

The role requires strict adherence to procedures while adapting to dynamic conditions. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least 2 years in firefighter/EMT/medical communications or 911 dispatch; preferred is EMT/Paramedic with 5+

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma.
• Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in Firefighter, EMT, Medical Communications, 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch, or Flight Communications.
• Preferred: EMT/Paramedic with 5+ years of experience or related certifications.

Responsibilities

• Receive calls requesting Life Flight and dispatch flight crews per procedures.
• Coordinate with OSF Aviation aircraft and other medical helicopters to the Peoria area.
• Follow policies but adapt to changing situations as needed.
• Maintain professionalism in all situations.
