Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an Operations Analyst within the Life Events Department to improve workflow, analyze existing systems, and propose enhancements. The role focuses on journals for beneficiary claims and internal asset movements, with an emphasis on cost analysis and system development.

You will liaise with management and IT to implement standards and ensure compliance. The position requires developing test plans, coordinating validations, and maintaining documentation across processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically three or more years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and perform systems analysis to improve workflow and operating efficiency.
• Develop proposals for new systems and information needs by analyzing existing systems and procedures.
• Analyze costs of existing operations and estimate cost savings from proposed changes.
• Modify existing applications or develop new applications as needed.
• Act as liaison between management, staff and information systems to define standards.
• Maintain documentation and monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
• Write test plans and perform tests on new systems and modifications.
• Develop communication tools to raise awareness of policies and results.
• Oversee department functions, track processing statistics and review regulatory updates.
